People have wondered what this String Song is about.
It is the act of sending out a #Seidr string using wind-breath.
You inhale the powerful energy of the Ginnungagap, Spin it into thread(s) along with Hugr, you can animate your threads Hamr, giving it form if you wish, and then you breath out the string, sending it on a mission to fulfill whatever your intention.
You can do this in various ways, including ecstatic trance, sexual sorcery, and others.
In this case, I wrapped the words with the string and then I breathed out the 'wind breath' while I was saying the vocals. You use Seidr string so it can seek/capture/bind/bring back the things you desire. This type of string I used, I would consider not only to be seeking, binding and retrieving, but also attracting.
(Your Hugr is your thought, desire/intent, will. To some of the ancient Norse it resides in your chest, hence why in certain types of Norse sorcery we use our breath ~Wind breath, Wolfs-breath, Ǫnd/andi, Vindr Trollkvinna, etc etc)
Norse sorcery is empowered by the Primordial chaotic energy in #Ginungagap. So you must tap into the Yawning Gap in order to empower your string.
Note "yawning" another term for inhalation/exhalation.
Anyway, back to the song:
Strengjahljóð is a beautiful word that I learned a few years back and it stuck with me, It loosely translates as:
the Sound of the music that String instruments make... their "String Poems"
As I listened to the music Augr made for the track, I was mesmerized by the
Strengjahljóð of the
Nyckelharpa.
The trance hit immediately and I started chanting that beautiful word, and sent out a string. Because it was so in-the-moment and organic, I couldn't imagine using anything else for the vocals, so I decided to just use this raw bit of unexpected
sorcery for the track.
lyrics
Heres a bit of the lyrics, keeping in mind I sent for things that the viking-age Scandanavian people and modern heathens value.

❤️My original plan was to go through and buy individual tracks like I do with most compilation albums, but honestly there are just so many good ones that I wound up buying the whole thing. More than simple drones (though there are plenty of those, too), this album collects many of the best and most innovative dark ambient artists in one place, including many who are new to me. A must-have for any dark ambient fan's collection. Plushie Fanatic
❤️Somehow, this compilation manages to be even more impressive than the first. A great introduction to dark ambient for the uninitiated, and a must-have for longtime fans. Plushie Fanatic
