Wings Wide Open is a musical project of Lus (Lucian Olteanu, România).
Autumn 2023 celebrates 20 years since this special project was made by Lucian Olteanu.

The music is labeled as ambient industrial and was composed on a computer in 2001-2003, with audio software of that time, Propellerhead Reason (reasonstudios.com).
Lus always missed the real instruments but the low budget constrained him to explore the computer and digital tools inside (so called) Luscinia Home Studio.

The inspiration comes from great old bands such as D.V.K.E, Ice Ages, Arcana, Raison D'Etre, Mortiis, Penitent and even Burzum.

General mood of these tracks is dreamy, introspective, hymnic and symphonic, with a sound carefully developed by the author for his multidimensional and personal universe.

First reviews were written in Kogaionon Magazine by Doru A. and highly appreciated by the composer’s close friends.
In 2004, Karsen Hamre, a well-known Norwegian artist, joined Lucian for another 2 projects (Museum of Transient Lights “Dream a Little Dream” and Penitent “Shapeless Beauty”).
Wings Wide Open cover is made by Lus, as a graphic designer.

In 2020 some of the best tracks were officially released by Soundscape Music, but in 2023 Noctivagant label produced 2 physical releases of Lucian's musical project (Wide Open Wings & Tronul Ascuns) as CD format.

Many thanks to Pucca, Doru, Karsten, Cami (big hugs!), Adi, Gabi, Kos and Alin for their support and for believing in my dreams.
